Interior concrete floors in workshop and production areas

Due to varying loads and conditions on the floors, a simple paint system was important.

Power Coat Oxypaint SL Floor Primer and Oxypaint SL Floor gave the customer the flexibility they wanted. All areas of bare concrete were first primed to ensure optimal adhesion to the concrete. Minor repairs could be quickly carried out with Oxypaint SL Floor Primer mixed with dried quartz sand. This gave a surface that could be quickly painted over.

Finally, Power Coat Oxypaint SL Floor was rolled onto the entire floor. The customer varied with one or two coats, depending on the condition and load.

Challenges:

The customer has large production halls and warehouses with associated workshops, where most of the maintenance is done by their own personnel. The customer wanted a flexible paint system with extremely good mechanical properties.

The maintenance department consists of many professional groups, but no dedicated trained painters. Simple paint systems, with good local follow-up from the dealer and regular follow-up from the supplier were crucial. JS Cock, which has a large selection of different paint systems, was therefore chosen as the supplier.

System structure:

√ Manual removal of loose epoxy and concrete

√ Washing and degreasing with a floor scrubber

√ Power Coat Oxypaint SL Floor Primer

√ Power Coat Oxypaint SL Floor Primer+dried sand

√ Power Coat Oxypaint SL Floor
