Diaphragm valves
Diaphragm valves are a type of valve used to control the flow of liquids and gases in various industrial processes. These valves are characterized by a flexible diaphragm, often made of rubber or plastic, which is enclosed in the valve body. The diaphragm can be moved up and down to open or close the valve, regulating the flow through it.
When closed, the diaphragm seals completely against the valve body, preventing leakage and contamination of the medium passing through. This makes them ideal for use in systems where cleanliness and hygiene are essential, such as in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
A further characteristic of diaphragm valves is their resistance to corrosion and their ability to handle sludge and other media with high particle content without becoming clogged or worn due to erosion. The valves can be used for isolation, but also for regulation.
