Lørenskog municipality uses a total of 9 Raven-Eye flow meters from Flow-Tronic in various manholes. These are powered by a power cable as they are permanently installed for continuous measurement of sewage flow, which Lørenskog delivers to Nedre Romerike.
Problem-solving with the customer
A Raven-Eye was installed at a suboptimal location for the best possible measurement. Together with a municipal employee, our service technician decided to try measuring in another manhole 70 m away. It was agreed to test the measurement results for a month, but to avoid having to excavate the ground to lay power to a measurement site that might not be suitable after all, J.S.Cock connected a battery pack and set up cloud storage for the flow meter's data. This way, the municipality could test the measurement results and be sure that the meter was correctly placed. Our service technician took care of the installation of the flow meter and the setup of the cloud solution. After the trial month with positive results, the municipality can safely excavate and lay a new power cable.
