Lørenskog Municipality uses a total of 9 Raven-Eye flow meters from Flow-Tronic around the sewers. These are powered by a power cable, as they are permanently installed for continuous measurement of the amount of wastewater that Lørenskog delivers to Nedre Romerike.
Problem solving together with the customer
A Raven-Eye was installed in a location that was not optimal for the best possible measurement. Together with a municipal employee, our service technician decided to try the measurement in another basin 70 m away. It was agreed to test the measurement results for a month, but to avoid having to dig up the ground to add power to a measurement location that might not be suitable after all, connected J.S.Cock to a battery pack and set up cloud storage for data from the flow meter. This way, the municipality could test the measurement results and be sure that the meter was correctly placed. Our service technician took care of the installation of the flow meter and the setup of the cloud solution. After the trial month with positive results, the municipality can safely dig and lay new power cable.
