A customer in Bergen has used Metal-Unicoat on a facade with steel panels. The challenge with facade panels is that they move constantly due to temperature fluctuations. Metal-Unicoat is an elastic and flexible coating that is able to follow the panels, so that cracks do not occur. In addition, the product has rust-inhibiting properties - unlike other facade paints - which means that it can be used directly on the substrate without priming. The customer simply sanded away loose rust and washed the facade thoroughly, before applying 2 coats of Metal-Unicoat. In this case, a high-pressure sprayer was used.
