Many of our suppliers are very committed to their environmental work in addition to continuously improving their products. The manufacturer of Power Coat 3 in 1 has been working for the environment since 1887. In the 1950s, they were one of the first to focus on greatly reduced solvent content in paints and renewable materials. The company later became EMAS and ISO 14001 certified, and their production in Germany has long been CO 2 -neutral. Many pigments used in the paint are made from recycled raw materials, and a large proportion of binders are based on renewable sources such as cottonseed oil.
The company supports several carbon capture projects in both Germany and South America in the form of tree planting. The company has planted 8,000 new trees in Germany this year, and 8,000 more by March 2025. In Paraguay, they are responsible for planting a total of 8,000 pine and eucalyptus trees. In addition, they are engaged in “repairing” the jungle in Panama, where many different local tree species are selected to increase biodiversity.
The pictures below give an impression of the volunteer work that many in the company participated in. The company has been a family business since the beginning, and both small and large two- and four-legged friends helped out.

A little about the importance of trees for the ecosystem: Trees, as is well known, absorb CO 2 and release oxygen into the air. The root system prevents erosion and provides nourishment for the fungal system (mycelium). The tree provides food and shelter for a number of animal species and cools the environment. Therefore, it is very important to plant trees in cities that suffer from overheating, as the ground has been sealed with asphalt and concrete. Fun fact: Did you know that a tree can be anesthetized/put under anesthesia just like a human? Trees send electrical signals through their trunks in the same way that human neurons send impulses through the body – these can be stopped with anesthetics.
