Painting in the rain?

Summer is short, most of it rains away

Unfortunately, this summer also does not live up to expectations of sunshine and warm days. The rainy weather creates challenges for anyone who will be painting outdoors, especially for wood that must be dry. Applying water-based paint requires that the paint is not exposed to direct rain before it has dried, as it can be washed away. However, if you are going to paint metal with Power Coat 3 in 1, you only need about 1 hour before it can withstand any direct rain. If it is exposed to rain too early, 3 in 1 will also become discolored and get streaks. The application temperature should be between +2°C and +30°C with a humidity of max. 85%. The low temperature at the moment is actually positive for the curing time, as curing is delayed when temperatures exceed 30°C.

The best thing to do when painting in the rain is of course to cover the area with a tarpaulin, so that the paint can harden before it is exposed to direct rain.
