Hydramotion

The history of Hydramotion began over 25 years ago, when a well-known food additive supplier encountered a major problem: they needed real-time viscosity values to control the production of some of their products. All the in-line viscometer solutions available at the time were inadequate, causing the company to lose money and risk damage to its reputation due to a lack of product quality control. Upon hearing about a startup company near York, England, that had won innovation awards for measurement instruments, they sought their assistance. Hydramotion accepted the invitation.
The result was the XL7 process viscometer, which set a new standard in online viscosity measurement. Since then, the XL7 series has been expanded, developed, and improved, and is now used by customers in over 80 countries. Later, entirely new viscometer series were introduced to meet the often complex requirements of portable instruments or combustion. The HyperVisc sensor, for example, can withstand 350°C and over 20,000 psi, with the possibility for more.
