Hydramotion

The story of Hydramotion began over 25 years ago, when a well-known food additives company faced a major problem: they needed to obtain real-time viscosity values to control the production of some products. All the in-line viscometer solutions available were not up to the task, so the company was losing money and risking reputational damage due to a lack of product quality control. When they heard about a start-up near York, England, that had won innovation awards for measuring instruments, they asked them for help. Hydramotion accepted the invitation.
The result was the XL7 process viscometer, which set a new standard in online viscosity measurement. Since then, the XL7 series has been expanded, developed and improved, and is now used by customers in over 80 countries. This was followed by completely new viscometer series that meet the often complex requirements of portable instruments or combustion. The HyperVisc sensor, for example, can withstand 350°C and over 20,000 psi with the possibility of more.
