Pressure testing:

· The high pressure closure test shall be included for all valves. (According to API 598 unless equivalent test is included in the valve Code defined in the Valve Data Sheet).
· The following valves shall have seat leakage measured through the body cavity:

Doble seated trunnion mounted Ball and Gate of through-conduit design with expanding gate or floating seats. Each seat to be tested. The valve should be mounted to allow free release of any bubbles from the valve seat area and so that bubbles are readily observed.

For the pressure testing, for the following size ranges:
150 Ib > = 16", 300 Ib > = 14", 600 Ib > = 10", 900 Ib > = 8"
1500 Ib > = 6", 2500 Ib > = 4", higher rating, all:
During seat leakage test, external forces that effect seat leakage shall not be applired to valve end.
