Marking shall be according to MSS-SP 25. Additionally the following marking shall be incorporated: · Manufacturer's serial no. |
The marking shall be made on a stainless steel identification plate permanently fixed to the valve. Plate thickness shall be of minimum 0.4 mm thickness.
Marking directly onto the valve body shall be executed with low stress stamps. Marking on weld bevels, flang faces or surfaces that will be hidden following fabrication, assembly or installation, is not allowed.
